April is National Poetry month. Sharing a poem from one of my favorite poets, Maureen Kwiat Meshenberg. I encourage you to visit her website for more wonderful poems.

I Hold

I hold a flower called time petals fall to earth blending with soil dissolving

I hold the sky with silence I slip into grace wind exhales her breath freely

I hold water like soft tears falling from white clouds night freeing them like bright stars

I hold melancholy close my heart aches boldly brave comes for me when I fall

I hold tomorrow with choice colors catching me prisms crack the window sky
